New Service: Kairos Acupuncture

We are pleased to announce the opening of Kairos Acupuncture, LLC at In Excelsis DaySpa!

Kyrie Lizik is a State Licensed Acupuncturist and Therapeutic Bodyworker with a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine.

Acupuncture helps to prevent illness by improving the overall functioning of the body's immune and organ systems. Acupuncture is helpful for treating existing illnesses and injuries, preventing both recurrence of illnesses and new illness, and improving overall health.

Acupuncture is not painful. The needles used are fine, and solid. On occasion, some slight pinching sensation may be felt as the needle penetrates the skin, but no pain should be felt after that. Many people report no pain at all, and find acupuncture to be very relaxing.

New Service: Hawaiian LomiLomi Massage

Based on the ALOHA philosophy of life*, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi is a traditional healing practice using the universal principle that the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual elements of the person are interconnected.

Lomi is a flowing, rhythmical massage using a combination of fluid wave-like motions, relaxing stretches, long continuous strokes, and short invigorating pulses tailored to the unique and individual needs of the guest. Abdominal work may be performed according the guest’s comfort level. Different parts of the body can be massaged simultaneously, which produces an extremely soothing effect, allowing the guest to “just be”, and experience the healing benefits of Lomi Lomi.

The various combinations of LomiLomi techniques relax the nervous system, promote overall balance and harmony at the cellular level, encourage the release and letting go of limiting beliefs and memories, and improve the long term health of the guest. Authentic contemporary Hawaiian music is played throughout. Our guests describe this massage as restorative, and deeply penetrating.

Practitioners of this ancient technique believe that physical discomfort and disease result from suppressed emotions, mental disturbances, or spiritual disharmony. Native Hawaiians say the true definition of Lomi Lomi is reconnecting with the spirit.
